Rebeka Ryvola de Kremer is an artist and creative strategist whose work explores the cultural, ethical, and political power of imagination. She is the creator of Imagination State, where she investigates what it takes to protect and expand our imaginative capacities.

Also in the realm of imagination, she is developing an Imagination Ethic to help institutions and communities center imagination as a structural and ethical necessity. The framework bridges artistic, relational, and systemic approaches to imagination as a force for cultural transformation and collective future-building. A white paper on the subject is forthcoming, alongside the relaunch of this podcast (formerly The Heart Gallery podcast).

Her work orbits around worldview literacy - the capacity to recognize, respect, and engage with diverse ways of knowing, sensing, and envisioning what’s possible amid cascading crises and moral reckoning. These themes run through her visual art, educational and advocacy work, and storytelling projects.

Her art has been exhibited at the United Nations, projected onto the Brooklyn Bridge, and shown at the Design Museum London and at the Red Cross Museum. She has led large-scale public art projects - including climate justice murals for Heat Action Day, NYC Climate Week, and multiple UNFCCC COP meetings - using participatory practices to invite new lines of questions and answers and reimagine climate crisis response.

For close to a decade, Rebeka has led storytelling and creative strategy at the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre, where she is now putting her imagination work into practice. She lectures and facilitates workshops at Yale, Columbia, MIT, and the United Nations, engaging global leaders on art, imagination, relational ethics, and future-building across crisis contexts. She also brings activities around these ideas into radically different settings, such as with individuals in the prison system and with young children - spaces where imagination as a force for alternate worldbuilding is often overlooked yet remains equally vital.
